Registration Process
for Exams on Request:
A
Bermuda student can only
register for a
computerised exam on request ("EoR")
through the Bermuda
Insurance Institute during the Bermuda examination registration
window. Please check the other examination pages on this website
or call us for details on the dates of these exam registration
windows.
Costs
for Exams on Request effective for the Oct/Nov, 2009 Bermuda
exam window are as follows:
Introduction to Property & Liability Insurance $85
Introduction to Claims $85
Introduction to Risk Management $85
Introduction to Underwriting $85
Essentials of Supervision (SM18) $110
Supervisory Management (SM19) $110
Delivering Insurance Services (AIS 25) $130
Risk Management for Public Entities (RMPE 352) $110
Cheques are
payable to The Bermuda Insurance Institute.
At the time the student registers for their exam-on-request, they will
be asked to make an appointment to take the exam. Students
are encouraged to make the appointment for the exam within the
scheduled Bermuda examination window (please see exam home page
for these dates).
Whilst examination windows gives students some flexibility
in choosing the date and time of the examination, bear in mind that we have
a limited number of computers available for each session. Early
registrations have a wider choice of dates.
Do not register for examinations
unless you are sure that you will be prepared at that time. Cancellations
incur penalties.
Should
the student opt to take their exam outside of the Bermuda
examination window but within the AICPCU's 2 month examination
windows, ie: 15/January - 15/March; 15/April - 15/June, 15/July -
15/September and 15/October - 15/December, we regret to advise
that it will be necessary to levy a $75 proctoring fee which is
payable to the BII. We also
must advise that the date of the exam if written outside of the
scheduled Bermuda examination windows, will have to be mutually
agreed between the BII and the student and may be subject to
change depending on the events occurring at the BII during the
scholastic year. It is for these reasons that students are
encouraged to take their exam within the scheduled exam window.
Please
contact the BII should you have any questions concerning the
above.
